The story of Romeo and Juliet remains one of the most romantic and enduring themes throughout all venues of the performing arts, and it has become a metaphor for undying eternal love. Romeo and Juliet is a highly emotive and interactive piece as the facial and body expressions represent some of the strongest MacDonald has portrayed to this point. We see the anguish of love in the faces, the longing in the fingers barely touching and the tender pulling of the skirt. It is a truly romantic work of art.
